Personal Branding

The purpose of this activity is to research other like minded companies to our Personal Brand, and begin to dig deep into our own Logo on how we want to present ourselves. Thus, after quite of a bit back and forth in adobe illustrator, here is my Logo that I have created to represent my Personal Brand.

Part I: Research and Develop Your Ideas

These were the three logos that I searched and found visually appealing to me:

The reason I find these three logos to be visually appealing to me, is for the simple fact that they are just simple and represents them in they're fields - whether be massage or media.

What makes me connect to these three logos for my own, is that I want to use and brand my name and the field I want to begin my journey in. I want something to look professional, clean and simple; yet everyone can easily remember.

Two of these two logos are similar in alignment, as they are center aligned with their design, name, and title. The third is right aligned. The Brittany Smith logo contrasts in the colors of purple she uses and fonts. Jenn Michelle Designs contrasts in her fonts; as well as, Robin Sofer and they both use black for a more modern look.

Part II: Creating the Logo

The way I have created my design to represent varies aspects of my personal branding profile, simply representing myself wholeheartedly. By giving them my name as the focal point and letting all know that I am their Media Strategist. It's very simple like I like to think of myself. It is my first time messing around with illustrator, thus throughout the rest of the month I'll get my logo looking better and not as pixel-ed.

The logo examples that influenced my design choice were the first two logos in Part One of this assignment. I really liked the script of the Luna Bar font, and thought by enlarging my initials could give that caps a bit of a pop from whole name and using Orator Std Medium in a 10fontsize, smaller from my name wouldn't overpower me; yet still be able to read. With a dashed circled around to give it a bit of a contrast.

I chose to include a light purple and black as the colors simply because it's so me. Purple is my favorite color and it does go well with black on a white background. Although, I will probably darken the purple in the coming weeks. Maybe this light purple seems a little to light and on the white background. (It could also be the pixels that I have to work on to make it smoother in the coming weeks on illustrator.

The story on my logo is magical, spiritual, creativity and royalty/loyalty and that's how I would like to envision everyone seeing my work. How my personal brand is just simply me.
