Fictitious Project Revision
The purpose of this activity is to showcase what we have learned over the course of the month of October in Editing for The Web. Taking what our fictitious client had always envisioned for their website, and being able to accomplish those results and some in a simple, clean, and professional looking website.
BEFORE
AFTER
I have done quite a number of major changes to my revised version of this fictitious website. Changing the color of the background design throughout the whole site has shown a big difference with the motion waves in the background from the bright yellow there previously was. Also add it to the home page and lower the opacity to 53%, looks even better. I also fixed some pages that had a wider design background than others, so that there could be that gap in between the navigation and content.
I changed just about the whole text that I had previously in a light blue to white which looks much better along the grey. I still kept a lot of the titles in the dark blue to give it a bit of contrast. I still kept the contact page instead of adding a color bar to the top and adding the phone number up there because I felt like it would be even more crowded on each page.
I changed the layout of the menu, and renamed each of the photos in gallery as well as gave it a title, I did delete the History tab, and just kept the "Our Story" section. I kept the text in the "Meet Us" section black instead of changing it white to give that a bit of contrast from the rest of the site; as well as, rearranged the content around a bit.
I am extremely pleased with my final revision, never would of thought I would be able to create a website before. I will take everything I have learned, and incorporate it into my daily life to the fields I will be aiming to get into.
