The purpose of this activity is to get a better understanding how to curate an original website, such as for Reel Deal Fish Tacos. In these three part assignments I was able to get a better understanding and feel for how to create a blueprint plan for this web project; as well as how to write out a proposal for the client, that they and myself will be on the same page going from start to finish.
Part 1: Drafting a Proposal:
Reel Deal Fish Tacos Proposal:
Web Goals and Objectives:
We have a great idea here for Reel Deal Fish Tacos, and have a great area to start in. We know we need a website, and as your web strategist I will take on this web project like if it were my own baby. While the site is in construction mode for a quick and easy to navigate website, we will still need to keep tweeting and update statuses, as well as keeping word of mouth going so the public is well aware and have that fire and excitement for the finished product and the grand opening. I will create you an awesome website for your business that will attract all from your target ages and some. Reel Deal Fish Tacos will be kept professional and a real San Diego vibe.
Specific Strategy and Recommendation:
Let say we have already met on a cup of coffee to discuss the first and following steps of this web project and with all the information you have given me in that time, I will take all of it and begin laying out a site map and wireframe first draft of the details. I like to stay in touch here and there and updating my clients on how it's going, while maybe give a little sneak peak of the progress. Although, you can fully trust in me that your website will be phenomenal and bring in traffic to the site and of course on-location wherever Reel Deal Fish Tacos Truck goes.
Home page will have your logo, we will have a welcome message and a singled photo and your social media links. (Note: Logo and social media links will be consistent throughout the whole site.)
News tab will have links to two pages; one for your press and one for your blog.
About Us Tab will have the History of Reel Deal Fish Tacos page link, as well as your story page and mission page.
Gallery will be all of your professional recipe photos that have been given to be currently, and for future professional photography.
Menu tab will be your menu page, services and we can provide a PDF link so customers can be able to print your menu if they wish.
Location tab will have the embedded map on where the food truck will be located with the address and on each specific time. As well as, basic directions from nearby highways.
FAQ tab will be that simple Frequently Asked Questions and Answers that everyone will have.
Lastly we'll have Reel Deal's Contact Us tab which will include in link all the contact information that new and returning customers will be looking for: Inquiry Form, Phone Number Business Address and certainly not least Social Media.
My specific recommendations for the fictitious business is simple just keep the word going. By updating all your social media accounts, as I'll do the same to even boost your business to my followers; as well as word of mouth, keep talking about it and hand out business card and fliers. Listen to the public in what they want, we can make it happen on the site and you will easily be able to deliver when grand opening comes around.
The rationale behind these recommendations is if you don't have fliers or business cards yet, that is okay because for a little extra I can help with that as well and whip up some and ready for you in a matter of day or two and you'll be out there with those hanging up and passing out fliers and some pretty incredible business cards. Also another rationale maybe that some people may think your "spamming" on their newsfeed/wall about your business; yet that is okay. We will only then post on specific times of the day when there seems to be an enormous about of people on to see all your updates and don't forget your blog posts and to listen to the public they know what they want from a fish taco truck, when we listen from the beginning it becomes easier going forward to deliver.
