The purpose of this activity is to learn and familiarize ourselves on Content Strategy. What it is, as well as the simple methods on Content Creating.

  • Identify 3 points of interest from the lesson - What did you learn?

1) A Quantitative Content Audit which is a tally of every piece of content including all relevant attributes and metadata. I've learned that on new projects as I create my content, I should link to Information Architecture; as well as list all my content items simply on a spreadsheet for easy organization to look back on for future edits and who does what if there is a team working on the content.

2) Qualitative Content Audit is the in-depth study and measurement of each piece of content against project goals and overall quality. I've learned that I should be asking myself some really basic questions when I'm creating my content. Simply put -have I created content that has met my goal? Have I created content for my audience as well as short and sweet and clear and useful? Is there one voice in my content? Do I have a supported content? In hopes I'll be able to answer all yes from the start, if I don't that would be something to go back to that one particular and work on it and make it a successful yes.

3) Information Architecture is a science all its own; in which the structural design of shared information environments; the art and science of organizing and labeling websites, intranets, online communities and software to support usability and find-ability.

  • What topic(s) would you like to know more about? Why?

The topics actually I would like to know more about are Information Architecture in which being the art and science of organizing and labeling; therefore, as I already am an organized and label-er in my daily life, to learn to input that in a simplified sense, as well as correctly and clear communication throughout my social media platforms would be not only easier for myself, yet it would easiest for my audience to have that simple and clear understand what I am bringing out to them.

which I think for myself that will possibly lead to voice and tone. I've already known that we all have watch out how we present our brand and ourselves; whether in person or on the web. First impressions can make or break anyone. Therefore, I am choosing to want to learn more about how I can put myself, my brand, my clients as well as their brands out there to the public and our audiences without like scaring them away.

  • How will you apply the insight gained from this lesson to fictitious scenario you're working on?

The way I will apply the insight gained from this lesson to the fictitious scenario I'll be working on, I'll be cautious how my voice and tone perceives what I am trying to say while get the audiences interest in the scenario. Also keep all my work simple, not misleading while giving clear understanding communications to the public.
